My name is Thomas Michael Harris and I'm a realist artist living in London Ontario Canada. I work with oil and acrylic paints on canvas and specialize in home and cottage portraits, landscapes, seascapes, equine portraits, and family pet portraits. I took to drawing and painting at an early age after watching in awe, my best friends mother creating the most stunning watercolors which always captured the essential beauty and vibrancy of the subject she would be working on. Anne Marsh Evans has gone on to be a renowned Canadian watercolorist and a member of the prestigious Royal Academy with work owned by the Royal family of England, her artwork has inspired me most of my life and I consider myself lucky to have watched her paint and to have taken lessons with her in classes she use to teach.
As a realist painter I strive for the utmost accuracy of the subject or study I am painting, a challenge to get the colors, light, perspectives, and location spot on to create a "you are there" atmosphere. I accept commissions for either onsite painting ( 50 mile radius from London Ontario) or painting from reference photos you supply ( any subject, from anywhere).
